BC/Yukon Society of Transition Houses

BC Society of Transition Houses provides support and training to transition, second and third stage houses, safe homes, children who witness abuse programs and other programs in the violence against women sector. Through research projects and partnerships, we publish and promote promising practices for supporting women, youth and children fleeing violence.

Carrier Sekani Family Services

With the guidance of their Elders, Carrier Sekani Family Services is committed to the healing and empowerment of Aboriginal families by taking direct responsibilities for health, social and legal services for First Nations people residing in Carrier and Sekani territory.

Healthy Women, Children & Youth Secretariat

Women in BC have made social, economic, and political gains in many areas; however, further opportunities for advancement exist. Building on existing initiatives and exploring new opportunities to advance the full potential for women requires partnerships with other levels of government, ministries, health authorities and other non-government agencies and organizations to coordinate and unify policy pertaining to women's issues within the population.

Men’s Trauma Centre

Crime Victim Support and Counselling Services. Our mission statement is to provide psychological and practical support to males 16 years and older who suffer from the effects of trauma in order to facilitate their emotional healing.

PEERS Victoria

PEERS provides support, resources and programs specifically for past and current sex workers—any gender—as well as help with housing, training and volunteering opportunities, advocacy and public education around sexual exploitation and the issues of adult sex work.

Pivot

Pivot's mandate is to use the law to address the root causes of poverty and social exclusion. Our name is a metaphor for our approach to social change. By making the most tangible violations of human rights the focal point of our efforts, we exert maximum pressure in order to shift society toward greater equality and inclusivity.

Positive Living North

Positive Living North is a community-based organization which provides education, prevention and HIV/AIDS support services in the Prince George and Smithers/Bulkley Valley regions. We are Aboriginal-focused but extend our arms open to those in need of services regardless of race, colour, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, marital status, disability, religious or political affiliation, age or sexual orientation.

Stepping Stone

Stepping Stone is a charitable not-for-profit organization that offers supportive programs and outreach to women, men and transgender sex workers and former sex workers.

Victoria Sexual Assault Centre

The Victoria Sexual Assault Centre supports, empowers and advocates for women who are survivors of sexualized violence and childhood sexual abuse and works to end this violence.
